Westmalle’s dark, red-brown Trappist beer, the Tripel (9%), features a rich and complex flavour thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle. When finished, the beer leaves  lacework traces behind in the glass, but the most memorable part of this balanced Trappist beer with soft mouthfeel is undoubtedly the long, dry finish.
The name ‘Tripel’ refers to a tripling of the ingredients of the light, original Trappist beer that the monks brewed for themselves.
